In today’s world human mind is full of conflict. Conflict in
office, conflict in family and relations, conflict between nations and most of
all conflict between happiness and unhappiness. Have you ever realized what
exactly happiness is? For some happiness is shopping, for some travelling is
happiness, for some acquiring new gadgets is happiness. And for some, happiness
is when their child is born.
But all these reasons
for being happy are not ever lasting. And we are back to square one with the
same question again, what exactly is happiness. As said by a philosopher -
"Happiness is a state of mind". It’s none other than us who decides
whether we want to be happy or sad. We ourselves are responsible for our own
happiness or despair.
We restrict and limit our happiness by drawing a border. This
border is nothing but our "reasons" to be happy. Some says - “I would
have been so happy if I would have been a millionaire"; some says -
"The happiest moment for me will be when I will buy a BMW" and so on.
But the trauma is people tend to ignore what they have at present and keep
craving for something better. And these reasons which we choose to be happy are
actually our desires. We all desire something or the other from life. It’s
natural and there is nothing wrong with it. But people get frustrated when
their desires are not fulfilled. And a frustrated and disturbed mind can never
be happy.
We all know very well that nothing is achieved in life without
desire. So "desire to be happy". Promise yourself to be happy every
day. Appreciate small things and beauty around you. Feel happy from your heart
and soul when you see your kid's innocent smile, Feel happy when someone loves
you and cares for you. Feel happy when you see sunset with your partner's hand
in hand. Don't confine your happiness to materialistic things. Happiness is beyond
that.
No one can make you happy or sad unless and until you want. It’s up
to you to make a choice. Remember, we have the caliber to choose. Choose Life,
Love and choose happiness. Your life is a result of your choices.
